TIME OF THE OLIVES AND GRAPES
In the charming area of San Giovanni in Venere Abbey (Fossacesia, Abruzzo on the Adriatic coast), welcomed by Villa Mayer staff, we propose you a week or a weekend experience that will introduce you in the interesting world of extra virgin olive oil. After the day fieldwork collecting olives from our trees, you will be following us to the olive oil mill to discover the precious golden liquid and to see how the olives will be turned into the fresh extra virgin olive oil.
The journey includes a visit to a winery to explore the secrets of our territory, of the grape harvest and wine production.
1 day morning - olive harvest afternoon - visit to URSINI milling, oil tasting just produced, possible purchase
2 day - free for excursions or visits trabocchi, punta Aderci, city of art)
3 day - showcooking whole day defining recipes-expense-preparation-lunch-dinner; alternative: RED cooking school, free morning and afternoon cooking school
4 day morning visit to the winery MUCCI Torino di Sangro, wine tasting, info about harvest; wine purchase afternoon free
5 day - morning / afternoon free evening dinner with a menu of new oil supply from Villa Mayer - oil, wine and other local products for sale
6 day - free for excursions, visits, trips
